Terms of Service
Last updated: May 25, 2026
These Terms (the “Terms”) govern the use of the RouteLab service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What RouteLab is
RouteLab is a marketplace of creator travel routes. The Service lets you create your own routes with AI, share them publicly or via a private link, copy other people's routes and adapt them (“Fork & Travel”), and save places and routes you like to favorites.
2. Sign-up and account
- Full functionality requires sign-up with a confirmed email
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and your account secure
- You must be at least 16 years old
- One person = one account. Creating fake accounts is prohibited
- You can delete your account at any time in profile settings
3. Your content
All routes, places, notes, photos and other materials you create or upload (“Content”) remain your property. You retain all rights to your Content.
By publishing Content on the Service, you grant RouteLab a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, distribute and adapt your Content to the extent needed to operate the Service (including showing it to other users, indexing, and generating previews). This license ends when you delete the Content or your account.
When another user copies your public route (“forks” it), they get their own copy with attribution. A copied route lives independently of the original — even if you delete yours, the copies remain with others.
4. What's prohibited
On the Service, you may not:
- Publish illegal, abusive, fraudulent or defamatory content
- Infringe others' copyright or other intellectual property rights
- Spam or send advertising without RouteLab's agreement
- Attempt unauthorized access to other users' accounts or the Service's infrastructure
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) for bulk data collection without RouteLab's written consent
- Violate applicable law of your country of residence or where the Service's servers are located
We reserve the right to remove Content that violates these Terms and to block offenders' accounts without prior notice.
5. Other users' content
RouteLab is a platform where users publish their own content. We don't review every route before publication and aren't responsible for the accuracy, timeliness or safety of user content. Information about places, prices and opening hours may be outdated. Before you travel, always verify critical information from official sources.
6. AI generation
The Service uses generative AI models (Anthropic Claude) to create route drafts. AI generation is an assistant tool, not an oracle: results may contain inaccuracies, outdated information or invented details. You are responsible for the final review and editing of content the AI produced from your request.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. RouteLab does not warrant that:
- Information in routes is accurate, complete or current
- The Service operates without interruptions or errors
- Any trips or activities based on Service routes will be safe
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RouteLab is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to: financial loss, a spoiled trip, injury, or data loss.
8. Paid features
The Service is currently entirely free. In the future we may introduce paid features or a subscription. We will give advance notice of any changes, and functionality available to you for free at the time of the change will not become paid without your consent.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service in case of a material breach of these Terms. On termination, your rights to use the Service end, but the provisions on content ownership, limitation of liability and governing law survive.
10. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the new version.
11. Privacy
Processing of personal data is governed by a separate Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law in force in the country where the Service operator is registered. Disputes not resolved through negotiation are handled under applicable law. If you are an EU consumer, you retain the rights granted by the consumer law of your country.
